It took me a couple of days to start this volume after episode three as I had something of a negative reaction to volume three. But I am certainly glad that I did since with this volume the series seems back on track, as the widely divergent storylines start to come together moving towards a conclusion they seem less like unnecessary breaks in the action and more like the parallel action I wanted and felt was missing from volume two.Overall I felt this volume returned some of the intensity that I felt after reading volumes one and two that drained away after reading volume three, I will move on to volume five before reading anything else.
In addition this volume contained considerably less typos than volume three, so that was one less distraction that I for one appreciated. Although for those that take typos very seriously I should point out that most those I caught in this volume were of the auto spell check variety, which some of you may take more seriously, I suppose.

read it! This is an awesome book. The price is right, and it works very well on my iphone for those break times when you want to get away from it all.
Great series. Every book - including Winter Trails - have been well written and very entertaining. I would definitely recommend reading all of Echo's books!
This is probably my least favorite of the episodes to date, but it hard to quantify why. It was pretty short, and starting to seem a little too small for a kindle book. But that was not my reason. I just think it was more like act 2 of an opera or play, it sets up a lot but doesn't resolve much.
I did enjoy the wrap up of a few key parts, but some of them seem Made for TV. Maybe a little too much like an LTK drama.
